Where to Watch Batman Begins
- A great cast, a great director and great writing make this the ultimate Batman film. Nolan gets as close to the “What if” scenario that we have all asked ourselves. What if Batman were “real”. How could he do it, what would it take, what price would he have to pay (physically, financially and emotionally). And in the end what would the consequences of this path be on himself and the people around him. This film would get 5 stars if it weren’t for what followed.
- Bruce Wayne has been portrayed many different ways, but Batman Begins is the film that made me understand why the character could work so well without all the camp surrounding him. Christopher Nolan treats Bruce's fear, anger and obsession as the foundation of the story rather than simply excuses for putting on a costume. Gotham feels real, and the practical sets give the city a grimy personality without making it look like a comic book brought to life. Even the action feels connected to Bruce's state of mind, particularly as he learns to turn his fear into something useful. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's score gives the whole transformation an almost restless energy, pushing Bruce toward the identity he has been building for himself. It was an incredibly risky choice to make so much of a Batman movie about Bruce Wayne before he actually becomes Batman, but Nolan pulls it off brilliantly because we become invested in the person before the symbol. Christian Bale is excellent at showing both sides of Bruce, from the damaged man underneath the persona to the intimidating figure he creates for Gotham. Michael Caine and Liam Neeson give Bale strong material to work with, while one of my favorite actors, Cillian Murphy, shows just how wide his range already was by making Jonathan Crane so unsettling this early in his career. The training sections can drag a little in the middle, but the time spent establishing Bruce's transformation ultimately pays off. Batman Begins remains one of the strongest superhero origin stories because it gave the genre genuine weight without draining away its entertainment value.
- Batman Begins still holds up as one of my favourite comic book movies of all time on rewatch. Positives: - The movie is extremely well made, well directed, well shot, and well edited - Gotham visually looks great - The cast is super stacked and they all do a phenomenal job in their roles - The action and fight sequences are executed very well and are awesome to look at - The film has a great origin story - The score is amazing - The dialogue is so good and quotable - This movie to me is so iconic Overall Batman Begins is an absolute masterpiece and one of my favourite comic book movies.
- When this first came out in the movies me and a friend drove over an hour to go see it in IMax. I will say on second viewing 20 years later it still doesn't disappoint. Great origin story, even though it's not 100% like you expect it to be. And it sets up the rest of the movies perfectly. Mr. Nolan, you have done your job well.
- I was 12 years old when "Batman Begins" was released onto PS2 and I remember at the time, just being totally blown away by its graphics, mechanics & combos. The stealth aspect to this game, makes you feel like your playing a "Batman" game its totally amazing and it still is. I can't believe as I'm writing this, that the "Batman Begins" game is 21 years old. I just played it recently and obviously things are going to look dated, that's inevitable we're in 2026 and a hell of a lot has changed from then to now. But I have to say you play this game and judge it within its context, it's still a highly enjoyable game, the entire campaign is soooooooo enjoyable I didn't want it to end on this very recent revisit I had playing this game. It's so faithful to the movie as well, you are literally playing the "Batman Begins" movie. And they used to do this with a lot of the PS2 games back in the day, where they used to show footage from the actual movies and put them into the game, before you go into the next level it's awesome. It makes you feel like your playing through the movie, I miss that with gaming. On my recent replay of the entire campaign of "Batman Begins" I fully realized how way ahead of its time, and revolutionary the "Batman Begins" game actually was. I don't think there was ever a moment; while playing it for over the 100th time where I wasn't bored even now in the year 2026. You know you have a special game on your hands, when a game stands the test of time for you like that. I just played it nonstop and completed the entire campaign over the weekend. It was an absolute blast and very nostalgic from start to finish. My Personal Ratings for the "Batman Begins" game 🎮 on PS2 is 💯 without a doubt ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a 10/10
