- First off, the uncut 4K restoration of this is phenomenal. While the audio mixing leaves a bit to be desired with the dialog being quite low, the video is flawless. If someone told me it came out last week, I'd fully believe it, it's that good. The darkness (and what's in it) and especially the lighting (flare scenes in particular POP) can be fully appreciated in this version. The movie itself was phenomenal, great acting and I truly could almost feel the claustrophobia and sheer terror at times. Do yourself a favor and watch this. And make sure it's the 4K version. You're doing yourself a disservice if it's not.
- The Descent - is one of the all time greatest 🇬🇧 British horror movies and is personally one of my favourites also!!! What I really loved about The Descent is that it really plays and leans into that fear of small spaces and chlostraphobia very effectively. And what makes it even more frightening & impactful is the fact that there in total darkness. And on top of that they've got these Gollum like creatures that live down there, that are ready to rip apart the group of friends that are stuck down there...imagine this your in very tight spaces with the chances of the cave; that your stuck in collapsing onto you and crushing & killing you. Also your in total darkness and you've got vicious cannibal creatures that want to eat and kill you; it cannot possibly get more worse than that omg. And at the heart of it there's a very tragic story; for one of the characters and has a friend that hasn't done a very nice thing to her.
