- Opening to the film is unrealistic it’s a very rare and small amount of climbers can free climb hundreds of ft without rope also they was apparently sports climbing with less then 50m rope fun right now that’s kinda how idiots die and get injured IRL in climbs but Hollywood for the W the whole film is a shit show from start to finish the only decent part was the hallucinations for one Mojave’s desert at night at a height of 2065ft would be about -10/-20 or lower hyperthermia would of killed her in less time then she was apparently up there but Hollywood loves to do shit from the get go the film is bad especially if you have any long term experience with outdoor pursuits and trained in multiple areas in the industry 10/10 would only use this film as a this is why you don’t listen to stupid people and be overly prepared and cautious
- My legs were like jelly the entire time when watching; as somebody that's terrified of heights, so in that aspect they executed it very effectively I thought. Yes there's plot-holes and you have to turn your brain off and ignore the very over the top & unrealistic elements of the film. But viewing it as just a movie and nothing more, this gave me a lot of thrills. I just felt I couldn't look away, it just kept sucking me back in I had to keep watching. This film is highly watchable, with loads of tension and with it you have that heart in your mouth type of feeling throughout as one mistake and its game over. There's a twist that they go for regarding one of the friends that I felt was very obvious, so as far as twists go it fails but as a whole; this is a very good movie to watch with family & friends that's a fun thrill ride in terms of how the heights are shot and everything. There are some small moments where you can see it's a green screen but that's mainly in the opening of the film. And yeah "FALL" is a film that I recommend!!
- Few survival thrillers will make you this afraid of looking down. Scott Mann turns the abandoned B67 tower into a genuinely nasty piece of screen geography. MacGregor repeatedly places the camera where the slightest glance downward reveals an enormous void beneath the characters, while tight framing leaves barely enough room to breathe around the rusted ladders and skeletal beams. The result makes the tower feel less like a movie set than an enormous trap suspended in the sky. Unfortunately, the story never reaches a comparable altitude, settling into a formula that becomes increasingly easy to read. Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner commit fully to the physical punishment their roles demand as Becky and Shiloh, but their emotional backstories feel mostly functional. The bigger issue is how aggressively the screenplay telegraphs where it's headed, particularly with its biggest twist, which becomes apparent long before the film is ready to reveal it. Fall can make your palms sweat, but it rarely makes you wonder what comes next. As a one-time vertigo machine, it works. As a survival thriller, it has already shown you the entire route down.
- Absolute cringe. Everything here feels so disconnected from reality. Nothing these girls say or do make any logical sense or allow us to really feel like these are real people. Even the fake spider tattoo on the one girl is ridiculously off-brand for the character they're trying to play. This should be shown at film schools as an example of everything NOT to do...
