This movie stayed with me. I was shocked and appalled. It was cruel but gripping to the very sad end. It took away another chip from my illusion of human goodness.

A deeply disturbing & depressing film that is a one time watch only type of film!!! However all of the acting across the board is fantastic...and An American Crime is a film that saddened me to my core. Its one of those films that you'll never forget...even if you watch it just once in your life, a very powerful film indeed!!!!

I hardly recommend this movie, I was unaware this was a true story until half way through. This is the most breathtaking and disturbing story I have seen so far this year! I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes movies based on true stories!

I was enraged at what that hideous woman did to Sylvie. I could not believe the level of sadistic and disgusting things that monster did. I was so glad when she was committed to 20 years jail, but honestly, she should have been in there for the term of her scumbag life. I hope the other inmates learned of her atrocities and gave out their own justice. Ellen Page, as always, was brilliant. I'm exhausted and quite upset after watching this. I give it 10 out of 10.
