- Calab and Catherine are a young married couple whose marriage isn't on the best of terms; in fact, they are headed for a nasty divorce. If you've watched the movie, you know they are drifting apart. Instead of blaming one character, I blame Calab and Catherine equally for the issues their marriage. Thank God Caleb's dad gave him a copy of the "Love Dare." I can't put into words how moving this is for me.. I would love to share a piece of trivia that's at the end of the movie, but I think I'll let you look that up. Remember: "but God shows His love for using that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Roman 5:8 Jesus didn't die just for me, not my neighbors next door, or the stranger I speak to on the street. He died for each of us and that means YOU too.
How can you not be moved by this?
- I think Casey escaped a prison sentence. I think she is almost if not just as guilty as Darlie Routier (TX, 1996), Megan Huntsman (Utah, 1996-2006), Marybeth Tinning (1972-1985, NY), Dena Schlosser (2004, TX), Lacey Spears (2014, NY), Amelia Dyer (1837 - 1896, historically known as the most prolific child killers recorded. Crimes in Bristol, Reading, Cavershsm, and London... she was even featured on "Deadly Women?" I'm only naming a few off the top of my head. However, and you can disagree it's ok, we'll agree to disagree. I don't really think the death was intentional and done with premeditation or malice. I think Casey may have given Caylee something to make her sleep and maybe gave her too much, causing death. Casey then panicked and did what she did for thirty days. I'm not excusing her actions, as far as I'm concerned she's as guilty as those I mentioned above. I think the tape on the nose/mouth area was was to keep little Caylee silent. Why else do gag or tape someone? Most usually to keep them from talking or making noise. Do I think Casey should be in prison? Yes. I do. I also think her family and the man who found the remains may know a little more than they are saying. All this is just my thoughts and opinions, I have no actual court records or records of the crime. Had she not died, Caylee would be twenty-one-years d today. An entire life snuffed out way before it should have ended. What are your thoughts? Do you think we'll ever learn the truth?
This is a discussion of all these episodes
- I gave four ★ because of the scare tactics and visual effects. I have to admit, they were rather awesome. However, can somebody tell me what exactly I just watched? Was the Jackobson family also victims to the house's evil entity? How many versions or parts are there to Amityville? My curiosity is piqued.
What did I watch???
- I watched this movie when it first aired. I love Kimberly Williams Paisley and have since "Father of the Bride." I think she played the Michelle Brown role well. I can kind of relate to her. Identity theft is becoming a serious thing in our society and we need to know what to do if we fall victim. What are our rights? Laws? Don't ever say it can't or won't happen to you, because I was in a similar situation. In my hometown, there is another woman with the same first and last name as me. I will not give you her exact name spelling. To say she wreaked havoc on me would be an understatement. While I was still in high school and then college and graduate school, she was committing crimes, misdemeanors, etc. However, the officers who arrested her, pulled my name up first... What's my point? My point is everything this girl ever did went on my background check. My career was ruined before it even started and there wasn't and there wasn't and isn't really much I can do about it according to attorneys. If it hadn't been for her activity and irresponsible law enforcement, my name wouldn't have been tarnished. Take note, that I had never even met this girl. She is older, different DOB, height, weight - different everything. I also never provided identifying information to anyone who didn't need it. I was and am very cautious and paranoid about that. All these years later, I'm even more antsy about it. I've had difficulty convincing people I am not the person they seek. I do random background checks now just to make sure my name is in the clear. You can never be too careful.
Good movie - informative
- I remember watching this. It takes me waaaaaaay back. I think the late 80's to very early 2000's were the best era of lifetime movies. Since they almost never air these old movies anymore, I wish they'd create a lifetime classics channel so we could watch our movies that I and a lot of us grew up on. I've even tweeted to lifetime about this on Twitter. It's on my watch list. I'll go hunt it down somewhere. I've been having pretty good luck finding some of these old movies on YT.
Another good movie
- I first watched this movie in late high school or early undergrad. I've always had a "gut" feeling when something isn't right. This movie just enhanced that sixth sense. I think this movie is important for all young girls and women to watch. If you are being stalked or suspect you're being stalked, know your state's laws and your rights. I can't imagine being a victim of stalking. I would be terrified to even stick my head outside to check the mail.
Scary, realistic
- How did I miss this? Most of the time, I kept thinking of Ted Bundy. For some odd reason, I think of Ted Bundy when I see a white van. I don't know why, but I just do. Maybe I saw it in a movie or documentary or something. I was dead wrong on my guess. Have you ever heard of Billy Mansfield Jr.? I hadn't, or at least I don't recall having heard of him. He stalked or terrorized a Florida town in the 1970s. I can't believe I missed that. I'll be watching the movie again.
I really need to rewatch
- Why is this listed as horror? I'm not scared. It didn't scare me, I jumped a time or two. The house is haunted by vengeful spirit Lydia. I live the idea that a father took his young son along to flip a house.... However, when the hauntings started it wasn't so funny (to the occupants). Throughout the movie, I kept thinking it looked more like home video or that they (characters) being recorded. I didn't find this scary, but I didn't get a few jumps in. We all need a little jump or gasp sometime. It's good for us. This one sticks with me. I'm sure I'll watch it again at some point in the future.
Why is this horror?
- I'm currently listening to an audio book on Ted Bundy, written and read by true crime author herself, the late Anne Rule. She was actually friends with him for a while and even worked with him. The only reason I'm listening and not reading is because the one I downloaded from hoopla is audio version. I should be finished tonight.

- I read a very brief except of this story in my eighth grade year. At the time I found it rather frightening. However, as I got older and went off to college to study human services and mental health counseling, the less I believed the story of haunts and possessions. I can't explain people secretly appearing in photos with glowing eyes. In this prior case, I think the son may have been struggling with mental health issues perhaps maybe schizophrenia with auditory and visual hallucinations. The second family, I'm not so sure of. It seems that their was some discord and diisfunctional issues. I believe these families believe what they say, but I'm not so sure I believe, I'm 50/50. It seems that people who came along after had no issues with the house. It leaves me wondering why. What's different about the latter owners and the earlier owners? If a house is haunted it's haunted. Maybe it's true and maybe it's not. I will tell you this you couldn't pay me enough to stay in that house. People died there. I feel like I would be disturbing their final texting ground. All this is just my opinion As I said, I won't rule it out. I believe in God and Heaven and I think Satan is real and H*ll is real. Satan is evil. I'll always be curious about that house.
Not haunted or possessed
- I watched this and gave it four stars because I liked this kind of movie. It focuses on what could really happen - a major earthquake. I keep hearing and reading we're in for "the big one" in the near future. I hope not. I was in seventh grade when the big earthquake struck California during the world series. I also remember Haiti's major quake, among many more a major quakes. I hope people are wrong about their theory about "the big one is coming." What are your thoughts? Do you think we're in for a big one? Why? Where? (When)? Just guess when you think it'll hit, there's no way we can 100% accurately predict that. Now I'm off to find another quake movie.
In the "the big one?"
