The premise was kind of flimsy but still entertaining. Numerology and Gematria catnip that only already insane people like myself would find somewhat thought provoking.
> Like numbers, ya know? Everything is numbers.
Right, well you scream in someone’s face about 23 and see how that works out.
Their reaction probably looks a lot like the shear dumbfoundedness in my face watching 23.
> Can I get you a blanket and water? Perhaps a strait jacket?
Not great, not bad. Worth watching.
The Number 23
The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans
Mandatory Cage-binge flick. His insane screaming is in rare form here.
Great movie. I want to critique its plotholes but alas, it is not Gods will. For that would make me a demon 😈.
So forget proper FBI procedure and evidence gathering, it has no purpose in this film. Tis but barely inconveniencing playthings for Gods judgment… apparently.

Kiss of Death
If value brand Pulp Fiction was set on the strip club in Sopranos with Nic Cage as Tony and David Caruso as a confused CSI investigator.
People just… die? I thought Jimmy could’ve shown a little more emotion early on in the movie. Literally people die and it’s like not even a big deal. 3 years in prison? It’s like it never happened.
Caruso is a very wooden actor only thing I didn’t like opposite the totally awesome Cage performance.
But this has Sam Jackson, Helen Hunt, skinny Michael Rappaport, Stanley Tucci, Philip Hall, Ving Rhames.
Top tier cast. Definitely watch.
Kiss of Death
8MM
8MM and Nice Guys are shockingly similar in plot I had no idea. Very good noir film from Cage. Amazing cast. Recommend.
8MM
Poltergeist
Lowkey Spielberg movie and it’s obvious. Same feel as Goonies or any of his 80s films.
Worth a rewatch or for the first time.
Truly anxiety inducing and still relatable to today. Ages incredibly well. You can see how so many movies copied some of SS shots and setups.
Great film.

The Sadness
The Chinese movie about the Chinese virus was very entertaining.
I mean oh wow would you look at my review. It's so great. Really, the best. Everyone says so.
Unlike these other reviewers who are sad like sleepy Joe and saying things like the Chinese movie was depraved or that Contagion was the better COVID-19 movie.
I loved the film. I have many Chinese friends. I thought the film was great. Matt Damon is a sad and pathetic actor. Truly. Did you hear the nasty things he's been saying? Nasty guy. Do you remember The Great Wall? Embarrassing.
What a wonderful movie though. THE SADNESS. I really like that title. Wow. Nothing could describe the career of Matt Damon since the movie Contagion better like the title of this movie, THE SADNESS. So sad. Life is poetic like that.
I give it 4 out of 5 Faucis. Emperor of the pandemic genre. Defender of the realm.
An R-rated Matilda meets Eastern Promises in Alice in Wonderland on LSD.
Dust Bunny
Leave No Trace
Makes you wonder why and for whom men soften their hard hearts as stubbornness is what often makes a “strong” and “resilient” man. But here, it is weakness and a liability. Keeping not only him, but his daughter homeless.
I mean what can I say. There is a lot of nipple sucking, nudity, and we veer early on into Ichi the Killer territory (I was making dinner btw) with what can only be described as a surprise vigorous handjob by the worlds greatest BPD specimen.
Which is also how I would sum up this movie coming in with no expectations. Unexpected and depraved. Exquisite.
