I would consider this to be Dreamwork's version of Wall-E. Genuinely underrated as not a lot people are watching this and it's a shame cause this is like Dreamwork's top 10 movies.
The Wild Robot
Your Name.
I genuinely don't know another film that surpasses this both in animation or live action. This is straight up peak
Why is it always the movies, I watch thinking it's probably something average and i have really low expectations for that end up being so damn good.
Like seriously why is this film nearly perfect? it got the right amount stakes to keep me on the edge of my seat, slightly scary yet really wholesome? Genuinely a good watch.
Love and Monsters
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender
A film that actually did the Avatar franchise justice but was treated terribly by Paramount. it's a shame this film got leaked cause it could have been a hit in theaters if Paramount actually believed in it's own franchise instead of releasing the 10th worst spongebob movie
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender
Superman
It's so hopeful and bright, just like the film's colour palette. Somehow it manages to balance comedic and serious moments so well. But that's not surprising as it's another film by James Gunn.
I will say that it's not James Gunn's best film compared to the guardians films as those films represents James Gunn as a director and Superman you can really see him hold back his usual style a bit more so he can make faithful Superman film.
Barbie is just Mattel's attempt of the Lego Movie but in live action with a lot more obvious social commentary to the point it's more comical and not in the good way. But it is very interesting how similar it is to the Lego Movie like somehow they got Will Farrell to play another Evil CEO in a movie about Toys and happens to be distributed by Warner Brothers as well
It's good but the first half of the film was really slow. The film gets more tense and interesting by the 2nd half. Most impressive part would be the visuals and bits of the sound design but at the same time I found the IMAX shots to be appear randomly through out the film. It felt almost a erratic and didn't feel like it made sense half the time for a scene to be in IMAX and then immediately go back to wide screen
