I haven’t said this about a show in a long time, but this show is freakin’ awesome. The dialogue, the characters, the plot, the acting, and the violence are all top-notch. There are no activist messages, agendas, and zero LGBT impositions foisted upon the audience. Guy Ritchie is the man!

Guy Ritchie has been hit and miss (more miss) with movies lately but he's killing it in television and this adaptation of one of his better recent films is among his best TV. It has little in common with Breaking Bad but I can't help but call it Breaking British. It's a dark and nasty drug crime series, mixed with almost Downton Abbey levels of intrigue and fuses these two things into an awesome premise. It's certainly over the top and not at all realistic but it keeps you in suspense and has some major twists throughout that you won't see coming. The performances are top notch, as is the scenery and cinematography. It's a very bingeable show and in our case, kept us wanting more after it ended, which is perhaps the greatest compliment.

Brilliant - every episode is a masterpiece. This is how to make a tv series that is fit to be a film. Brilliant, season 2 and what an ending.

Proof Richie might still have it. While his recent films have felt devoid of style this show reminded me why Guy Richie has a career. My advice is if doing TV is how we can get this level of quality then he'd be doing himself and the audience a favor shifting his focus to tv full time. The setting feels updated, alive, and stylish. I went in with low expectations but found myself smiling and laughing. The actors, the story, and the setting are selling it and I'm buying with no remorse.
