"I’ve not often been as nervous for a moment on set as I was before we “broke the banner” and ran onto the field in “Homecoming”. As a character, Jason had been isolated for the first third of Season 1 in a large way, and I felt that as an actor as well. It was the first time I was back on that field since the pilot episode many months earlier. Production wanted Jason to break through with one hand first…but the banner was too tough and they had to cut it open and reseal it so I could finally do that. When the team burst through the banner with Jason out front everything went silent. It was a truly impactful moment. Having Taylor at my back and Gaius and Zach alongside me and seeing the stands in front of me…goosebumps and tears to this day."
