Fun film. Cast still did their job and effects were better this time around. I enjoyed the first and this as well. It did feel like it could've used some more scenes to tell more story, like they just cut down some areas, but overall I enjoyed it. A fun watch if you enjoyed the first. Just don't go into this expecting a blockbuster. And do not go into this with the intention of tearing it apart scene by scene. Seeing Bill Nighy is always a welcome. His voice and laugh are a nice touch anywhere :) Willfull suspension of disbelief and you'll enjoy it. If not, I guess this just wasn't for you, or you probably write reviews for your blog trying to sound like you're a critic god or something.

Decent action movie. Plot is full of holes, and at times nonsensical. But, i’ve seen worse. Probably better than 95% of what’s come out in the last 10 years.
  • *Wrath of the Titans* looks like an epic. It sounds like an epic. Every once in a while it even **feels** like an epic. Unfortunately, most of the time it forgot to bring the story and characters along. Bill Nighy probably gets the best part as Hephaestus, although I'm not sure whether the part was actually that good or **Bill Nighy simply made it good**. He brings more personality to a relatively small role than most of the movie manages in two hours. Ralph Fiennes is also pretty good as Hades. Liam Neeson is fine as Zeus, but I've never thought he was *that* great an actor outside certain roles. Which made me wonder: **imagine Anthony Hopkins as Zeus.** Basically take his Odin from the Marvel movies and drop him into this. Now *that* could have been interesting. The movie reminded me of watching *The Lord of the Rings* with most of the things that made *The Lord of the Rings* great removed. Huge landscapes, gods, monsters, armies, labyrinths, the end of the world... but very little emotional investment, character development or genuine sense of dread. **Kronos is about to destroy the world. Shouldn't I be a little more worried?** Maybe the movie relies too heavily on *Clash of the Titans* having already established these characters. Instead of making me care about them again, it pretty much jumps straight into **"Okay, everybody remember the last movie? Good. RELEASE THE MONSTERS!"** The frustrating thing is that there are glimpses of a much better movie. Every once in a while the performances, music, effects and story all line up and suddenly it **feels like the enormous mythological epic it wants to be**. Then the moment passes. The effects are generally good, although some CGI holds up considerably better than others. The labyrinth/dungeon sequence is fun and probably one of the movie's highlights. Hades, meanwhile, occasionally looks like he wandered over from Middle-earth after borrowing Sauron's wardrobe. Big, expensive and entertaining enough, but surprisingly hollow considering **the literal fate of humanity is at stake**.

No Mads Mikkelsen in this one to carry it like he did in the previous one.

It looks cool, but that’s about all it really has going for it. The story is messy, the characters are flat, and a lot of the dialogue is painfully cheesy. Most scenes feel like they exist just to get to the next CGI monster fight. Still, the action and visuals can be fun if you turn your brain off. It’s not a good movie, but it’s watchable in a “Saturday afternoon on TV” kind of way.

Wrath of the Titans leans hard into the silly, but it's a quick, fun watch if your looking for some crazy action to bust boredom.

Seems rushed, trying to repeat first one but never reached those heights. Story was there but just seemed to rushed.

Pretty boring watch. Fun to watch for the Greek mythology, but falls immediately short compared to other related films including its predecessor “clash of the titans”.
