Universal Soldier
Where to Watch Universal Soldier
- Troy WatermanJuly 13, 2025Loved This movie since I was in my teens. It’s a Classic.
- angeltreadSeptember 27, 2026Masterpiece compared to any of 5 sequels after it. Entertaining action. JCVD gets some good subtle levity in this one. The ending fight was the Cyborg ending fight but for whtever reason, despite it being way cheesier the cyborg fight was way more memorable. Prob the dual and triple takes of the same hit and the crazy way the bad guy yelled. I think this is a perfectly serviceable to a good JCVD and Lungren action movie. They both had a few that are better but also both have a lot that are way worse.
- CarbonDJAugust 6, 2026Never liked this when it first came out, and upon a recent revisit, I feel just about the same. This was the end of the initial amazing run of JCVD. There were a few good ones after this, but nothing that hit the peaks of his original run.
- RecordedsnakeJune 4, 2026Universal Soldier is a brilliantly entertaining sci-fi action movie packed with explosive fight scenes, intense performances, and classic 90s action energy. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren have fantastic chemistry as rival super soldiers, delivering both action and tension throughout. The movie balances thrilling combat, dark humour, and an interesting futuristic concept, making it a standout action classic that still holds up today.
- AngusMcNutzMarch 12, 2025Rewatched only to see if it was as bad as I remember it. Should’ve just saved myself the trouble. As a lover of 80s/90s slop action, this is an utterly miserable film.
