The Ladies Man
Where to Watch The Ladies Man
- The Ladies’ Man is a reminder that not every beloved Saturday Night Live sketch is built to survive the leap to a full‑length feature. Leon Phelps is a fun character in short bursts—his swagger, oddball charm, and unapologetic confidence work beautifully in sketch form—but stretched across an entire movie, the concept starts to wear thin. Despite a genuinely strong supporting cast doing their best to elevate the material, the film struggles to overcome its weak, shallow storyline. The jokes feel repetitive, the plot meanders, and the energy that made the sketch so entertaining never quite translates. Instead of expanding the character in interesting ways, the movie leans on the same gags until they lose their spark. By the final act, it’s hard not to feel the film sinking under its own limitations. The Ladies’ Man had potential, but this adaptation never finds a way to make it work.
