The personalities of two former baseball players clash as they traverse the rural back roads of a post-plague New England teeming with the undead.
Where to Watch The Battery
- Zokkiie2d agoFor a zombie movie made on practically no budget, this is seriously impressive. The soundtrack is great, the atmosphere captures that lonely feeling of being stuck in a world where almost everyone is gone, and I liked how much time it spends on the everyday misery of surviving. The two leads also feel like real people who have spent way too much time together, and their constant bickering gives the movie some genuinely funny moments. The downside is that all that wandering around can get pretty repetitive, and I wouldn't have minded a few more memorable encounters along the way. Thankfully, the final stretch brings some proper tension and gives the story a stronger finish. It's definitely not a zombie movie for anyone looking for nonstop action, but there's enough personality here to make it work. Pretty impressive for such a small production.
