  • The more i watch this the more i came to the realization this movie was never good it was terrible... bad CGI, poor acting, and overly dramatic for no reason just awful....
  • I can't remember for the life of me why I thought this was good when I was younger. I just watched it and I found it to be boring...the pace was okay but it just didn't grab me and pull me into the movie. I like the idea of one older vampire wanting to forget the rules and just live in the open but it fell flat to me. Glad I watched it...sure, would I watch again...nope, and should you watch...nah, skip it.

I haven't watched this movie for 20 years at least... And I just find out now that Aaliyah tragically died before the movie was released. This movie is a top-notch watch. Incredible music, just overall fantastic, especially for its age. Well worth the watch. RIP Aaliyah.

Akasha, Lestat. It's been over 20yrs but to revisit this film as an adult was a vibe. Still a vibe. Very sexy take on the modern vampire. The soundtrack has carried well over 20yrs too. Still so good. Gold is gold. RIP Aaliyah. Sacrificed to Hollyweird

Very fun cult classic, curious to know what the movie would've been if aliyah didn pass away!

This film makes very little sense to me and the script is just a mess. There is so much mythology, so many characters and so much happening that I never felt like I was getting anything back from the movie. I did like some of the music and there are moments where the whole vampire-rock-star idea is pretty cool. But honestly, that's probably the best thing I can say about it. I kept waiting for the story to become interesting or for everything to come together but it never really happened for me. Maybe I would get more out of it if I knew the Anne Rice books but as a movie I found it confusing, over-the-top and not very rewarding. Some good music, some cool ideas but the movie itself just didn't do much for me.

Movie captures several points in the book. Like the predecessor, a great adaptation. Hopefully there's more to come

It's not half bad, Stuart Townsend is no Tom Cruise, and well, he's no Lesat either, but if you can get past that, it's entertaining. Aaliyah delivered an outstanding performance as Queen Akasha; the visuals were impressive, considering the budget. Sit back on that Rainy Saturday or Sunday and enjoy.

Saw this when it came out. Was disappointed, I thought it would be the Lestat from Interview with a Vampire. But years later, I realized I real liked it. Now I watch it about every year. Great performances from Townsend and Aliyah. Too bad about her. The thing I lie the most is the soundtrack. Excellent Nu Metal and Goth.

Not as good of a cast as Interview with the Vampire, but the sound track is awesome. Nevertheless this is still a good vampire movie

The movie gets 1 star the soundtrack gets 5. Jonathon Davis of Korn is the hero of this movie and he's not even in it.....
