Where to Watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
- ZokkiieSeptember 2, 2026By this point, the series really feels like it’s running out of ideas. There are still a few entertaining moments, and Javier Bardem is easily the best thing about it as Salazar. Johnny Depp can still be fun as Jack Sparrow, but the character is starting to feel more like a collection of the same old jokes than an actual character. The whole copy-paste love story from the first movie is pretty shitty too, and the movie never makes you care about it. It’s not completely boring, though. The effects are decent, there are some good action scenes, and the pirate atmosphere is still there. The new characters are fine but forgettable, and the story is mostly just an excuse to bring back familiar ideas. It’s watchable enough, but this feels much more like a franchise going through the motions than another proper Pirates adventure.
- defacto77August 30, 2026They should've worked better at character development and overall storyline. It had a good premise, but for such a long movie, this could've been done better.
- Nathan MagretaDecember 5, 2025Another solid installement that is more silly and does wasted talent with Javier Bardem as Captain salazer, but still has a strong story, a great Johnny Depp as always, and is just another fun pirates movie.
- Edgar_thaFNaFnerdJanuary 9, 2026Better than most people give it credit for. I rewatched it a few months ago and yes, the pacing is a little messy and the story is pretty much like the original trilogy. But it has a lot of fun moments and it was better than the last one, plus I like the ending where they are all reunited. But At World’s End was a better conclusion.
- amazingafton545January 4, 2026Love found family
- Harish CousalDecember 16, 2025A nostalgic return with familiar pirate flair. New faces mix with old legends. The villain looks menacing, even if the story plays safe. Fun enough, but the magic feels thinner
