A widowed single mother, raising her violent son alone, finds new hope when a mysterious neighbor inserts herself into their household.
- cultfilmlikerMarch 25, 2026I’d be fine with having mommy issues with either of these women EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the most scathing review I’ve ever given to a film I loved in basically every aspect hahahaha From the man who wrote and directed I Killed My Mother comes this charming tale of, that’s right, a boy’s ongoing Oedipus complex! Awfully bold and frenzied direction, Cotton. Too bad it didn’t pay off! Kinda hated the aspect ratio, ngl A little too into itself! Some of the slow-mo long shots seemed excessive by the end. I love cursing but this kid made me want to curb my use of the fuck….a little bit A super racist teen that casually assaults and taunts women? Yeah, he should be gone. — .5* for the “Wonderwall” needledrop (jk?) Added to The Non-English Niche
