Where to Watch Love Actually
- RazorbitzSeptember 25, 2026A mixture of romantic christmas stories from great to middling. Very watchable but aside from its most iconic moments drags on with humor that never landed for me. Alan Rickman plays a fine jerk to great success, of course, and is probably the most memorable narrative with how it portrays a sympathetic cheater while forcing him to wallow in the consequences. The rest of the stories are varying levels of feel-good and petty drama. Andrew Lincoln pre-global fame from the Walking Dead is a personal highlight, but that says more about me than the film. A decent holiday watch but not one I plan to return to.

It has its nice moments, but most of the romantic storylines are either creepy or sad, and Bill Nighy has to come in and rescue them with his "don't give a shit" swagger. Pretty much every relationship in the movie is wildly inappropriate just baaed on age, nevermind if you add power dynamics.
