Filmmaker Jeremy Seifert journeys to Haiti, Paris, Norway, and even agri-giant Monsanto in search of answers about genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and how they affect our children, the health of our planet, and our freedom of choice.
- GMO OMG is an earnest but sloppy 2013 doc that follows a dad trying to figure out what's safe to feed his kids. It's heavy on emotion, light on real science, and leans hard into fear without much evidence. Critics tore it apart for cherry-picking studies, ignoring the massive scientific consensus that approved GMOs are safe, and playing more like propaganda than journalism. The science has only gotten clearer since then — thousands of studies and every major health organization say they're fine. The film didn't age well.
