Where to Watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High
- I was surprised, on a revisit, how little of the comedy was "problematic" in the current era. It holds up pretty well. With some actors who went on to excellent careers, with both Penn and Leigh being heavy hitters. As well as folks like Whitaker, Stoltz, and Edwards in minor roles. It has its raunch, but it doesn't live there. Much of 80s comedy owes Fast Times, but few of its copycats understood the dance between raunch, character, and story.
- "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" vividly portrays high school life in the early '80s, capturing the diverse cliques and stereotypes among students and adults. This expertly crafted journey into the past stands as a genuine classic. Moreover, its soundtrack perfectly complements the film, enhancing the overall experience.
