Where to Watch Bharat
- macaronzJuly 25, 2026Too Many Subplots, Too Little Substance Bharat is a classic case of a film trying to do far too much at once. In an attempt to deliver a massive, larger-than-life commercial blockbuster, the narrative spans several decades, jumping from Partition heartbreak to oil rig action, circus drama, and naval pirate encounters. One minute it’s a period drama, then it’s a comedy, then an action film, and none of it really sticks. I honestly would have liked it much more if they had just stuck to a clean, simple storyline instead of trying to show everything under the sun.
