The rapid spread of an unknown infection has left an entire city in ungovernable chaos, but one survivor remains alive in isolation. It is his story.
Where to Watch #Alive
- ZokkiieSeptember 27, 2026The apartment setting works really well here. Being stuck alone while the whole city outside turns into chaos makes the first half especially tense, and I liked how much time it spends on the boring parts of surviving too. Running out of food, trying to stay occupied and slowly losing hope make it feel more personal than a lot of zombie movies. Yoo Ah-in is great, and Park Shin-hye fits in really well once she becomes part of the story. Their whole setup across the buildings gives the movie a nice emotional side without taking over. The zombie stuff is pretty familiar, though, and the movie definitely isn't doing anything revolutionary with the genre. Some of the later action gets a little silly, and a few things happen because the story obviously needs them to happen. I also thought the final stretch was less interesting than the earlier survival stuff. Still, the pacing is good, the zombies are suitably nasty, and the balance between tension, humor and the two characters actually trying to help each other works really well. Simple idea, but a very entertaining zombie movie.
